2/12/2010 World Television’s Climate Change Portal Delivers Results for Clients
World Television, the leading video communications agency for corporations and governments, is delighted to report on the success of its recently launched video news portal, climatetalks.tv.
Following extensive media interest in footage published on climatetalks.tv around COP15, the United Nations Climate Change Conference, the website is now well-established as the foremost online video news source for stories on climate change.
Since its inception, over 250 journalists have registered to gain access to video and multimedia content relating to the debate. Key non-governmental organisations (NGOs), including the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) received thousands of previews and hundreds of downloads of content posted to the portal.

Climatetalks.tv (see http://www.climatetalks.tv) is the only online portal dedicated to delivering news on climate change to broadcast, print and online journalists worldwide. It was developed in September 2009 to support the media’s stories around COP15, held in Copenhagen 7-18 December. Video footage and other multimedia assets – such as shot-lists, hi-res images, PDFs and Word documents – from a variety of NGOs are available for preview and download through the site, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

2/11/2010 World Television Germany Expands with New Cologne Operation
World Television, the leading video communications agency for corporations and governments, has expanded its successful German operation by opening a new office in Cologne and welcoming Justin Fabritius as Executive Producer.
With a population of more than one million people, Cologne is one of Europe’s foremost business centres. Located in the heart of Europe, it is the principal city within the Rhine-Ruhr region – the largest metropolitan area in Germany.

World Television, the leading video communications agency for corporations and governments, celebrates the tenth anniversary of its operation in Germany this month.
Based in Frankfurt, World Television (Deutschland) GmbH was originally set up in 1999 as a branch of the successful Swiss streaming media business Unit.Net AG. Four years later it was acquired by Virtue Corporate Services, an internet broadcasting company, which merged with World Television in 2004.
Over the last decade, the operation has grown from its roots in streaming media and now offers a full range of video communications tools, from consultancy, content development and production, through to distribution and reporting. Along with streaming, its specialist services include corporate video production and media relations. The recent launch of http://www.climatetalks.tv, an online video news portal for broadcasters, print and online journalists reporting on climate change issues, adds another string to its bow.

9/21/2009 World Television Launches Climate Change Video News Portal
World Television, the leading video communications company for corporations and governments, today launches http://www.climatetalks.tv, an online video news portal for journalists in the lead up to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP15). COP15, the most significant global meeting this year, will be held in Copenhagen between 7 and 18 December.
World Television, which has a long track record in environmental communications, has developed climatetalks.tv in order to host video footage and other multimedia assets related to climate change from a variety of sources to support broadcast, print and online journalists' stories around the event.
Video footage will be available for download in broadcast-quality from October through until the end of December 2009, and beyond into 2010. In addition to providing the latest stories on the debate, the site also incorporates RSS-feed functionality so journalists can sign-up to receive alerts when new content is added.
World Television Founder Peter Sibley, says 'We've developed and launched climatetalks.tv to support the communications activities of over 1,000 organisations attending the Copenhagen event in December, as well as the hundreds of companies and government bodies who have a stake in the climate change debate. Broadcast and online journalists will need news content from the widest range of sources to report authoritatively on what is probably the most pressing issue of the 21st century and climatetalks.tv will deliver it; 24 hours a day, seven days a week’.
World Television will also be onsite at the conference to provide full production and technical support services for its clients during the summit, including television crews and online and broadcast distribution facilities.
2009 is a critical year in the worldwide effort to tackle climate change. Meetings and negotiations throughout the last decade will culminate in the COP15 event, where the world's governments have set themselves the challenge of agreeing upon a global response to the issue.

7/7/2009 Henrik Ahlen appointed Managing Director of World Television Sweden
World Television, the leading video communications company for corporations and governments, announces that Henrik Ahlen has been appointed Managing Director of its Swedish business after Niclas Grunewald decided to step down from the job. Henrik will commence immediately.
Henrik has more than 20 years' experience in video communications, as a cameraman for SVT news, corporate videos, documentaries and feature films and as a producer of interactive video and e-learning for corporate clients such as Ericsson and Pharmacia och Apoteket. He has a keen understanding of both content production and distribution, and has deep knowledge about corporate internet services.
Before joining World Television he ran his own communications consultancy, Alfa Bravo, and he is a founder of the Internet Video Advisory Group.
Henrik said: "I have worked extensively with online media business development, focusing on all the new possibilities with online video and inspiring corporate clients to use video in many new ways for marketing, communication and training. World Television has the ideal platforms and skilled personnel across Europe, so I am very glad to be offered this opportunity to leverage my vision of professional communication."

Niclas moves on after nine years with World Television and will be looking to develop new opportunities. He had been MD since 2003, originally joining the company when it was called Kamera. He rebuilt the Swedish business from a loss-making webcaster and expanded its offering to include a full range of production and distribution services for corporate and government clients. The result has been a great success in providing clients with video communications services for all their needs. The business has grown its revenues substantially and been consistently profitable under Niclas' management. As a part of World Television's international group of companies, Sweden has performed well despite the global recession.
Niclas commented: "I have managed World Television Sweden for the past five and a half years and during that time I have had the privilege of working with outstanding clients and colleagues. World Television is a great company and I'm sad to be leaving after many years here. But I feel I have achieved what I set out to do and now it is time to move on to look for new challenges."
